Leah Meulemans has visited Champagne multiple times including a 5-week stay at small domain in the Aube. During this stay, she worked in the vineyards, the cellars, learned the process of dosage, and worked on many other tasks around the winery. She later obtained her Master-Level Certification in Champagne through the Wine Scholar Guild. This intensive study program plus her time in Champagne developed a wealth of knowledge about the wine, the region, the people, the history, and the industry in general. Leah shares her knowledge through both social and professional classes and trainings.
Professional Classes & Trainings
Our Professional Classes and Trainings are designed to meet the individual needs of the participants. These classes/trainings may include, but are not limited to, the following themes: how to open and serve champagne; how to discuss and describe champagne; the history of the region; the wine-making styles; and general information about the champagne grapes and wine-making process. These sessions may take place over a short period of time (an hour or two) or over a longer period of time (up to a few days of more intensive training).
Social Classes and Events
Our Social Classes and Events are designed for wine lovers or students of wine. Similar to our professional sessions, these classes and events can cover various amounts of time depending on the interests and needs of the group. Possible themes for these sessions may include: How to taste champagne, how to use the Pagne in the Glass tasting system, an introduction to Champagne (the region dn the wine), or may simply be a guided tasting of wines. These sessions are fun for small wine groups or informative for more serious students, collectors, and enthusiasts.
